Huawei investing a huge amount on their smartphones business

Over the past few years, Huawei has faced significant challenges in the mobile phone industry. Despite its impressive global shipments of 240 million units and a 17.6% market share in 2019, the company’s fortunes have taken a downturn. As of 2021, Huawei has dropped out of the top ranks for global smartphone shipments, highlighting the significant impact of several factors that have led to a serious setback in its mobile phone business.

The decline of Huawei’s smartphone business can be attributed to several factors. One major factor is the ongoing trade war between the US and China, which has led to Huawei being blacklisted by the US government, effectively barring the company from accessing vital components and technologies necessary for its devices. This has not only affected Huawei’s ability to produce high-quality smartphones, but also its global market share and brand image.

Even though they are having a bad time, they don’t want to give up. Huawei said that they will invest more on their smartphone business. This indicates that Huawei is confident with their products.
