Redmi added a new addition to their note 12 series and its the Redmi Note 12R equipped with the Qualcomm snapdragon 4 gen 2 processor. The phone Spotted On China Telecom which reveals Full Specifications, Renders and Price of the device.
Xiaomi Redmi note 12R is the standard version of the previously released Note 12R pro. This is going to be the first phone featuring the Qualcomm’s latest entry level snapdragon 4 gen 2 5G chipset. According to external sources, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 (code is SM4450) will use Samsung’s 4nm process technology. Core frequency improved from the previous 4 gen 1. The GPU has been upgraded from Adreno 619( 650MHz ) to Adreno 613 ( 955MHz ).
Snapdragon 4 gen 2 supports 3200MHz LPDDR5 memory, UFS 3.1 flash memory, and 1080p60fps video encoding and decoding functions. Considering this SoC It is normal to not provide 4K encoding and decoding functions. The Soc is more interesting than the phone itself because Qualcomm is yet to announce this processor.
The China Telecom leak revealed more spec details of the phone. It will have a 6.79-inch FHD+ lcd Display. It also features 50MP main camera +2MP camera and 5MP selfie Camera. Redmi note 12R will have Android 13 With MIUI 14 out of the box.
Also the Leaked renders show the design of the phone. Device appears to have a micro USB port instead of USB C. Which is disappointing in a 2023 phone. It will have a 5,000mAh Battery.
