To make an even stable version of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, this year Qualcomm announced another chipset that is based on the 8+ Gen 1 architecture. It’s called Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. Qualcomm limits the max clock speed of the CPU and GPU to make it more stable than ever before. The camera hardware support of Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 is also similar to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

With the goodness of Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, the latest Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 phones are expected to perform as good as flagships. Though they can’t be as powerful as the 8 Gen 1 phones as the CPU and GPU are underclocked.
