Honor Magic series is the highest end top of the line smartphone that Honor releases every year. Honor will launch the Magic 5 series at MWC Barcelona at the end of this month. Some specs and camera design leaked ahead of launch.
One of the most reliable leaker Digital chat station on weibo revealed that the Honor Magic 5 and Magic 5 Pro will be about the same size. Both devices are slightly curved, some other leak suggests that the display will be quad curved. And the overall ID is basically the same for both devices.
A picture of the back camera design also leaked. It has 3 cameras. all of them are 50MP sensors. All the cameras could be a 1/1.5″ inch sensor. There is no TOF sensor. The module is a circle. The camera software will have some AI powered mode. The speaker openings of the two devices are the same, and they are strangely opened on the right side of the fuselage.
Honor Magic 5 series is expected to come equipped with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The display is tipped to have 6.8″ eye-protecting flexible screen & also supports structured light.
As the Magic 5 series is a Honor branded device, there will be no issues with the 5G networks. Qualcomm recently announced their upcoming Snapdragon X75 5G modem with some groundbreaking features. Unfortunately Huawei smartphones are still deprived of the light of 5G, Honor branded phones are making the work done.
We expect four devices on the Magic 5 series. 66W Charging is Confirmed in The Phones by 3C (China Compulsory Certification). The devices are also IP68 waterproof and dustproof.
